Ok I will start off with the finished fighters.

Next, I am showing you guys my idea for the home screen and Character select:

The character select shows colors. Those colors represent the character you choose. Once you click on the color, the character shows up in the players box. then when everyone else is ready, or the cpu being ready, Press start. The colors next to the color boxes represent stats. Red is health, yellow is power, Green is speed, and blue is range.

And I would also like to update on what zitz said, there should only be 2 special moves per character, 1st is punch, 2nd is kick, 3rd and 4th are up to you guys. Personally my character will have ground pound smash and poisonous barf. Make sure everyone stays updated!

Well...when I say new Internet, I mean another 80MB. I'm allowed that much per week. And quite honestly, with Facebook and the forums, that takes up most of my Internet.

However, don't feel any rush with getting Unity. I actually have the Pro version and I am finally getting my head around the JavaScript. Plus I have a tonne of assets that you usually have to buy. So generally, I think I can do the programming if you're ok with that. However, as I mentioned above. We need music, sounds, GUI and concepts more than anything right now.

I think I will be able to work on GUI and sprites and such. Im tossing out ideas that we can or cannot use. I was saying this to Vivid, we all need to create voices for our characters to be put in the game. We should also find someone to be an arena announcer, I asked Vivid but he is still thinking about it.

In regards the moves, I've actually wiped that. It's now laid out to be attributes. So we have Attack, Defense, Health and a Bonus Move. This makes animation a bit easier for you Rabid. Each attribute will be given certain values (I'll make them fairly even for all characters).

As for the layout...I'm wanting to keep this pixely. Also, what you see right now is just a basic mockup I needed something to work with. I can change textures easily enough.

But with the character selection...I would much rather go with my layout. I love visuals, any big pictures of the characters first off is what I would like. So no offence, but I would like to go with my design at the moment.

Also we need to consider the limitations of the game. I can only pull off a 1v1 game. This will use the WASD keys and the arrow keys. So the basic plan is, you will be allowed the selection of two characters then it will enter the arena. However, the arena layout you have is excellent, I will go for that!

Very nice! Voices never crossed my mind. Things will be tricky there, what with audio quality from all the members but we'll see how we go. My plan is to use Audacity with mine. Just to tweak the tone's slightly so they sound more wizard-like.

And for the sake of everyone being involved, I think we should leave GUI up to the others. However, sprites will be excellent! With the animations, what we need is a standing animation, 3 walk animations that you can cycle, 3 jump animations with the last being a peak. I'll then reverse the ticker for the landing. If we can just get our movement animations that will be great!

Ok, Im fine with that, but the only thing you should change ( Just my Opinion ) would be to make it not pink, I dont think pink really matchers the game. I also believe you should make the Character selection in a row, not in the curve design it is at the moment.

Yeah, I agree with the pink. But I'm too lazy to make a nice pixel scene background. Razz If anyone wants to step up to the plate that would be great. In fact, a couple of designs would be good.

And with the character selection, that can be edited easily. However, it takes time and I would like for all of us to be set on one layout before I make the change.

OK, its fair others can work on GUI. Il be working on animations for the next few days, speaking I have to get ready for school again. I could also update my current menus to make the seem like yours and mine combine. I will also edit it to be 2 players if that could help.

I could create a broken city type background speaking that the battle zone is supposed to be a abandoned construction site. My concept was literally just a concept, you probably could tell that's what I was going for.

Oddly enough, I like the really bright background. It adds contrast and makes the characters pop out. But go ahead and make scenes, they will probably look better than pure white. Razz

But what part about Audacity? General info on it, is that it's a audio editing program that's free. But I will be using it to deepen my voice or else make it more high pitched. I'll also add a bit of an echo. Things like that. I'm pretty good with that stuff, so if other wanted, I can tweak the voices to what they would like.

I am working on the character select screen and I think each character should have very different stats. Zitz you said they should be close to the same. But I believe all the characters should be unique.

At the current moment I made characters noticeable and abilities. Rabid has slime throw( sets up a trap) and fire smash. Solem has ice claw ( freezes enemies, and ice toss. Dr. A has Defense raise ( raises defenses for short time) and magic blast. Zitzabis has electric jump and static shock. Vivid has Gunshot and Fire Heart ( lights enemies on fire by the touch of his hair. ) Trigg has Power Punch and Buff Banana ( Restores health, limit per match 3) All characters have the generic punch and kick.

Im currently working on movement animations and if anyone wants their abilities to be changed, just ask.

P.s When the character is selected the picture Zitz has been using for character selection will shown for the players character. CPU for single player can be random or selected hopefully.
