Stalling...sorry...
Ok guys, at the moment, the game isn't really moving forward. I still haven't gotten an updated version of Unity so I'm taking a break for now. Plus I'm waiting on some other materials.
Just wanting to let you know what's happening. Also, in my latest exploits, I am doing two things. One, creating a custom Linux OS from scratch using LFS. Also, I'm dabbling in digital painting a bit more. Both of these things should help the KTPT in the future. One, for a MC server to run on a Linux platform and two, for artworks. Anyways, just give you a bit of news.
Also, Dr A, can you please tell me what Linux platform you are using? Also, have you heard of SUSE? You can custom build a Linux OS online and then download it.

Well, I'm currently using Ubuntu, I know, a pretty common one, but hey, it works. I have heard of SUSE, and have been meaning to try it out as it, as you have mentioned, very customizable.
Also, I'm not entirely sure what you mean by an MC server to run on a linux platform. Do you mean self-hosting a server on linux?

I'm using Ubuntu right now too. Well...on a test machine. I've got a small desktop that I'm going to use to host a Bukkit server just within my house. So my brothers and friends can access it easily. Also helps ease up the workload on my Windows computer. However, it makes for good testing in the future where we self host a server (maybe).
Have you tried doing the manual install of Java on to your computer? As in, tracking down the binary zip files then unpacking and building it straight in to Ubuntu? It is so hard... I wanted to kill myself over it. Took me about an hour to install.
Anyways, I'll grab a picture of the small desktop I'm running. It's actually really cool. If any of you know hardware, you'll enjoy seeing it along with the specs. I do know it's a 4GB RAM and 250GB hard drive. So it can run a server fine. Oh and as you might know Dr A, Linux is fantastic for network use. So it will be a snap to do remote desktop connections once I get back to the U.S.

Oh, just remembered that you are not in the country of Freedom and hamburgeurs and such... Well, have a safe trip back when you do
