Problem. Audacity files can only be opened in Audacity.

But just because you have done some of the art, doesn't mean we're anywhere near any sort of release!
Code, my friend, is harder than writing a 10,000 word essay on shakespeare, in a second language, and if you make a single mistake the entire thing doesn't make sense.
So, slow down until this game becomes more than a couple of art files that you made.

Yes, I know I have been getting ahead of myself by a ton. I am truly sorry for that. I posted a thread telling the team that I will try to cut back on posting all this random art for it. I just want everything that needs to be done ( art wise ) to make the game look presentable. I am aware that it is not that important for it to look pretty before it is even created. I just want Zitz to have access to these files and I'm trying to get feedback on what to do. I am most likely posting more than I should, but, I am really glad we are working on a project again.

Also, I know how hard code is. I have created a simple game awhile back using javascript I believe. The game crashed within 5 minutes. (p.s the 5 mins of gameplay sucked)

But, I do want to make sure that you guys know that I know the game is not nearly finished. I just want to stay updated on what I have been working on.

Sorry if I have been a bother.

I also have been going through the codeacademy website for some time now learning how to code a bit better. That way I can be of some assistance when we are making the game.

omg ive been on codecadamy before...but its a bit complicated..i did HTML once and javavscript...but i dont get it?

btw rabid do you want me to do some sounds or anything to do with music. If so just let me know

I would ask Zitz. Im not the one who is coding the game or in charge. He will tell you if you need to do that.

But, I think you should figure out the legal stuff with the music program you used. Can we use it in a game freely without getting sued? Look into it please.

Ok..I looked it up...We dont need to put any legal claiming stuff since I created the song and I own it. Unless I used any of the sample loops...Which i didn't (Made my own). So weare fine with that

My oh my, there has been a lot of chatter! Ok, first, I agree that releasing the game is a bit far ahead. However, Rabid, don't feel like you need to cut back on creating stuff.

Also, I need the avatar for Iate ASAP. Also, one animation would be good. I need to test.

Also, game jolt is amazing. I use it all the time and I think that will be the best place to release.

Also, Solemnote (?), the way I see your character isn't fat. I see you as you described but with a huge coat. If you're Ok with that? Also, Dr A, sounds would be great! Perhaps (insert correct user who made that music) can cover the music side.

Now then, the big news. Unity 4.3 is out. Check it out. The major change is the 2D game development. It makes programming the game play a piece of cake! And that's not a lie! But...I don't have the internet for it. So, my Aunt in america will download it, and it to me on a USB and game development will resume. Until in, GUI will be completed, concepts done and all the art work. So don't ease up on the progress!

Ok Zitz. I will work on an ingame Iate charatcer and the Board style character. I will finish up animations with you and dr.A so you can test.


Iate, I need a character to base you off of. Real life picture can work or some idea like something simple. Robots, or an alien, or a bug like I said earlier.

Also do you think each character can have 2 abilities?

The art I did included 2 abilities each. I could easily fix that, but I already have animations for some of the characters. Respond back when you can.

I loaded up the current build and I noticed that the credits were very nice, I mean, I liked how they were put together. I also noticed the background we were playing on, Would you mind posting that so I can edit and put it into an arena?

More info. If you put the character select screen I created in, It would be cool if you did what you did for the current build.
Make it zoom in to show characters stats closer up. Then it shows up to the box under your current name if possible.

If any of this is to hard with or without the new update, just tell me.

P.s. What is Pixel Shooter for?

2 abilities is fine! I can adjust my stuff to suit it.

I don't quite understand what you mean by the zoom. Even then, I don't think I can change that.

And the Pixel Shooter is that game I was telling you all about. It's just there for fun, so you can see what a 3D game might be like.

I haven't spoken to you much about the whole game. If you want, and if Rabid is up for it, we can include you in the game.

As for the music, I highly doubt there is a legal matter there. The only thing to be considered is the fact that you are the owner. If you allow the use of the music in the game, the music would then fall under being a contracted material. Meaning that (as the name stands) the Knights of the Pixel Table would hold rights to it. Not a problem really, just making sure we all know the legal side to that.

Now then, with the company creation and all that, we don't need to worry. As long as we establish a copyright mark with the group name, we are covered. Once we release, I know the steps to get it legally and government approved, copyrighted. But that will be at least a year away.

By Zoom I mean when you select the character it goes in to that character to show the stats. I was asking if you could do that with the character selection I just created for the game.

Yes, a year a way. Meaning we are in deeeeeeeeeeeeeep pre alpha beta. Or the term for "Not even closed to being finished"

That's really weird! It's probably a virus. But glad you're ok with the avatar! Oh and I have put your job description down as Supervisor. You seem to be highly sensible, so I think that job suits you.

Very nice!!! The only one I don't like is your walking. Somehow...it just doesn't seem right. It looks like your legs have gone all spaghetti like. I might suggest a slight bobbing movement.

But I'll start work on adding these to the menu layouts. I plan on having the animations of the moves hovering around the character profiles.

I don't mind, but Dr. A will be working on some of the music tracks as well. Pixelizedpie can work on some of them. Not to sound rude but I think Dr. A should be the lead music creator and Pixelpie  you can be a music creator. The only reason I believe this is because Dr. A has been here  for awhile and is an important part of K.T.P.T and you pixel pie have just arrived and I dont think thats fair for you to be in charge of all the music once you just come in. I apprieciate that you are here and want to help, but I just think Dr. A should be in charge of the music. Feel free to ask him questions on music or what you can do.

Yes they are a bit spaghetti like but I ran them through in a gif file. and they seemed alright. Tell me if it looks dumb in game. Also your character just kind of hovers, nothiing more. Plus his jump Is one of his special moves, the blue stuff hurts the enemies.

Good idea. But are we going to put the character selection I created into the game or are we sticking with the current one till later?
